Funäsfjällen offers fantastic mountains and is one of Sweden's most snow-sure areas. Skiing in natural snow provides a very special skiing experience, both on and off piste. Scandinavia's largest ski area gets an average of five metres of natural snow in a typical winter and at Funäs Ski Lodge in the Funäsfjällen mountains, you're only a stone's throw away from adventure.
In Funäsfjällen there is something for everyone
If you are looking for real alpine skiing with the best conditions, Funäsfjällen is the place to go. There are 135 slopes and 34 lifts on the same ski pass, which is the most on a ski pass in Sweden.
For those who love cross-country skiing, Funäsfjällen also connects to the Nordic Ski Centre, which is one of the longest trail systems in the world. Here you'll find over 300 kilometres of groomed and well-signposted cross-country trails for all levels. In addition, there are 450 kilometres of groomed trails and 450 kilometres of snowmobile trails.
For those who tire of skiing, there are also snowmobile safaris, heliskiing, helicopter tours, summit tours and dog sledding.
If you visit Funäsfjällen during the barefoot season, you will find yourself in an insanely beautiful mountain nature whether you choose to experience it by bike, on foot or by canoe. Funäsfjällen offers fantastic mountain nature and activities all year round.
Funäsfjällen consists of six ski areas
Funäsfjällen includes the ski areas Tänndalen, Ramundberget, Funäsberget, Tännäskröket, Bruksvallarna and Kappruet. But also the villages of Funäsdalen, Fjällnäs and Messlingen.
